Although designed for users in the trade industry, it can be prescribed to any user needing a lens that offers a near correction at the top and bottom part of the lens. An example includes a chef who may need to read the dockets hanging on the docket rail, while reading a recipe book.
A tradie lens is designed for users with occupations where the eyes need to focus on nearby objects on the top and bottom part of their visual field. As well as its standard progressive lens configuration, the tradie lens offers an extra segment for near vision correction at the top of the lens.
Although intended for children, the ‘Kids Design’ can be recommended for adults who have active lifestyles tend to move their heads when following objects at varying distances.
The design takes into consideration the child’s dynamic movements. Compared to adults, children are more active and tend to move their heads to explore the world around them. The Australis Kids design considers these behaviours and provides an ergonomic progressive lens that meets the child’s visual demands and active lifestyle.
The VR lens uses VR technology to create a progressive lens for everyday wear, including distance, computer and, reading correction. On the other hand, the VR office forms a lens that includes a computer and reading correction.
The VR office lens integrates Virtual Reality (VR) technology to form a personalised lens for each individual. The VR headset unit simulates the user’s office environment and measures synchronised head and eye movements, while they are engaged in computer work and reading. The data collected is used to design a customised lens for the user’s visual needs at the office.
Firstly, the lens is customised for the user. Just like tailored clothes, the VR lens is personalised to the individual. On the other hand, standard progressive lenses require users to adjust to the inherent design. - Secondly, the lens features the most innovative and advanced technology, allowing fast and seamless adaptation. - Thirdly, the lens is available in a number of materials and coatings.
The VR lens uses Virtual Reality (VR) technology to create a progressive lens, tailored for the user. It uses a VR headset unit to examine how the eyes and head move together, to track a target at varying distances - far, intermediate and, near. The information creates a personalised lens, specifically for the user.

Coatings

Different tint colours can be used enhance visual clarity in specific environments, helping boost performance of various sports and activities. We recommend speaking to an optometrist to determine which lens colour would best suit your needs. To find your closest optometry practice that offers CR lenses, use our 'store finder'.

Fashion tints provide a set range of colours and densities. If a specific match isn't possible within this selection, CR labs also offers customised tints to suit your needs.

Yes, our fashion tints are available in a variety of densities, including graduated options within each shade–giving you the flexibility to customise your look and level of tint.

No, fashion tints purely have a cosmetic effect. Specialty tints target specific wavelengths of light to treat medical conditions.

Silque offers a vibrant range of photochromic colours that activate quickly and provide noticeable level of darkening even inside the car. It combines eye-catching style with everyday visual comfort, adapting seamlessly to changing light conditions.

Satin+ Flash and Satin+ Mirror coatings can be made with fashion tints, polarised lenses, photochromatic lenses (Silque and Transitions) and even clear lenses. They can be made with a wide range of lens materials as well.

  • Both coatings are designed to reduce glare and improve visual comfort by reflecting light away from the lens surface.
  • Satin+ Mirror offers a high level of reflection, blocking more light and hiding the eyes - ideal for very bright environments like snowy landscapes or on the water.
  • Satin+ Flash, on the other hand, has a softer, more subtle reflective finish. It reflects less light, allowing more to pass through the lens, which makes it versatile for use in a wider range of lighting conditions - even suitable for indoor use.

Yes, both coatings can be excellent for sports, but the best choice depends on the type of activity and lighting conditions. Both coatings help reduce glare and manage visual comfort in bright conditions. Mirror coatings are best for very bright conditions such as on open water or at high altitudes. Flash coatings have a milder reflective effect and are more versatile for use in a wider range of lighting conditions. To find out which combination of flash and mirror coatings are best suited for your needs, we recommend visiting your local optometrist that offers CR lenses - visit 'store finder'.

No, the pink hue given off the lenses does not affect the clarity of vision nor colour perception, instead Satin+ Vogue has been formulated to enhance clarity by reducing the amount of reflected light off the lenses.

Satin+ Vogue offers all the performance benefits of Satin+ AR, providing optimal clarity, durability, cleanability and UV protection, with an added stylish pink hue.

Migraine Awareness

Authorised Avulux providers can be found in the “store finder”.
Studies have found that blue, amber, and red wavelengths of light incite and worsen migraine attacks. On the other hand, green wavelengths of light reduce headache pain intensity associated with migraine. - Avulux lens precisely filters the blue, amber and, red wavelengths of light and allows a narrow band of green soothing light through.
Avulux is the world’s first and only clinically proven lens for people with migraine and light sensitivity. - Avulux was developed using 8 years of research and has undergone multiple clinical trials.

Myopia Management

MyoME and MyoStock are two lenses which make up our myopia lens profile. The lenses are made up of two different technologies that both aim to slow down myopia progression. For more information on myopia management and our MyoME and MyoStock lens, feel free to visit our ‘store finder’ to contact your local independent eyecare practitioner.
Firstly, it features HIDS technology to slow down myopia progression. Secondly, compared to the standard conventional lenses, it is thinner and lighter. It automatically comes with a blue filter, to provide relief when using digital devices, and an ‘Ultra-Super Hydrophobic’ coating, to allow ease of cleaning. Thirdly, it is one of the most cost-friendly myopia management lenses in the market.
MyoStock is a lens design that uses Hexagonal Implication Defocus Segments (HIDS) technology to slow down myopia progression. The lens is made up of a central viewing zone which provides clear and comfortable vision. Surrounding the central viewing zone are micro-hexagon segments that contain HIDS technology, which aims to decrease the rate of myopia progression.
It is best if the child is seen by an optometrist to evaluate their vision and eye health. If the child is diagnosed with myopia, the optometrist will go through the recommended management regime. To find out your closest optometry practice that offers CR lenses, visit our ‘store finder’.
MyoME is a lens that aims to slow down myopia progression. It is made up of a central viewing zone which provides clear and sharp vision. The sides of the lenses feature a treatment zone. On the bottom of the lens, it features a reading correction to help relax the eyes when performing near-tasks.
The overall benefits of myopia management are the decreased risk of eye health complications and vision impairment. Studies have shown that myopia is associated with a higher likelihood of developing eye diseases such as retinal detachment, macular degeneration and, cataracts.

Shaw Lens

SHAW lens is beneficial for individuals who experience an image size difference between the two eyes because of their prescription or eye condition. Given the differing images perceived by each eye, it may be difficult for the brain to fuse the two images. As a result, patients may experience symptoms such as headaches, eye strain, and double vision, especially in their conventional glasses. To relieve these symptoms, SHAW Lens aims to match the image sizes by adjusting the lens parameters, offering comfortable binocular vision.
SHAW Lens is different as it takes into consideration how both eyes work together as a team. It takes into account factors such as frame dimensions, positioning of the frame, binocular vision status of the user and, optics of the lens. By taking these factors into account, SHAW Lens reduces or eliminates distortions, resulting in clear and comfortable binocular vision.
The Kids Design is a progressive lens design, tailored for children. When a child requires both a distance and reading correction, traditionally, bifocal lenses and adult-focused lenses are prescribed. However, the Kids Design is unique as it was formed through extensive research and user testing, providing a solution specifically crafted for young wearers.
